MEASURE TO MANAGE

Water Treatment Plant

Waterpoint water meter has a Type Permit from Indonesia Metrology, and the products produced are in accordance with ISO 9000-1 quality requirement.

Waterpoint meters are tested individually on our digital test bench witnessed by Metrology, and meters that meet the requirements are sealed directly by Metrology. Meter testing is carried out on each meter, one by one, not by sampling.

This ensures the accuracy of each meter produced is within 3 digits after the decimal point. Water meter testing on our digital test bench is in accordance with ISO 4064 requirements.

To manage these challenges,
these parameters must be considered:

Detection

Employing models to detect hidden leaks, which account for a significant portion of water loss.

Efficient management involves deploying equipment like water meters and leak detection tools, aided by information and communication technology (ICT) for monitoring and control. And Waterpoint provided the right tools, hardware and software to face those challenges.

The sources of leaks in clean water installations can be categorized into two types: physical and non-physical. Physical leaks are easy to identify, often revealed by visible water puddles around the pipe area. However, non-physical leaks, which contribute to Non-Revenue Water (NRW), are more challenging to detect as they relate to meter accuracy and meter readings.

Higher meter accuracy, indicated by the measurement ratio (R = Q3/Q1), results in lower NRW levels. Errors in meter reading can now be eliminated using AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) technology. This system relies on digital measurements that are automatically transmitted to a central data center, leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT) for seamless integration.

In this digital era, Waterpoint has transitioned from traditional mechanical meters to advanced solid-state technologies such as Fluidic Oscillation and Ultrasonic meters. Waterpoint offers a comprehensive range of products, all equipped with communication capabilities, enabling remote control.
